New Parental Notification System Eases Concerns
Oliver Heckman Elementary School, as part of a trial program by the Neshaminy School District, is pleased to announce a new service that will enable better communication between our parents, faculty, and our school. The Family First Alerts service sends a text message instantaneously to your cell phone, pager and/or email. It is also possible to have a voice message delivered to your home phone or answering machine. This system will allow you to receive precise and timely information regarding routine school announcements, and/or emergency closings.
To register for this system, log onto http://www.familyfirstalerts.com/, then:
Click on “register”, located on the link bar near the top.
Under “Parent Registration”, click on “Click Here to Register”.
Select “PA” for state.
Enter “Heckman” for the school name (ONLY “Heckman”)
Click “Search”
Select HECKMAN EL SCH (LANGHORNE)
Click “Next”
Complete the information as requested.
Be sure to select the types of “Alerts” you would like to receive.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email and text message (if selected) almost instantly.
Please keep in mind that your participation is voluntary.
Parents and guardians must
be the ones to provide the information. The school will not be
directly entering or forwarding any of your contact information to the company.
Please be sure to complete the Student Emergency Dismissal Plan (see separate sheet) and return to school in addition to registering for the Family First Alerts service, as your child may arrive home before you in the event of an emergency dismissal.
This alert system is available only to Heckman families. Non-Heckman registrants will be deleted.
You only need to register ONE child per family. Duplicate contact information is not necessary, and may be deleted if our registration numbers exceed our limit.
Land-line calls are sent from a California area code.
