The Heckman PTO is a self-governing body that plans its activities for the good of the school and community. Its chief objective is to help develop a bond between home and school so that parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of the child.

The PTO sponsors a variety of fund raising activities where money has been raised for assembly programs, supplemental material and equipment, playground equipment, and field trips. The PTO strengthens the tie between your home, the community, and our school.

We urge you to support its activities by active involvement. It is only through parent and teacher participation that this organization can function. The PTO membership orientation begins in September. There are no PTO membership dues. The general PTO meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, usually at 7:30 PM, in the lunchroom or Mod 4.

            You are also invited to COFFEE TALK, an informal recap of the previous evening’s meeting events, and a chance to network with other PTO parents. Children are welcome. COFFEE TALK is held in the lunch room from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
